Does the 5-Star App track student location?

The 5-Star Students App does NOT track students' locations.

There is a self check-in option that schools can use, which allows students to use their location, scan a QR code, or use bluetooth to check-in to different events. All of this is opt-in by the student. 

If any of these methods are used, the app will use their location at that precise moment in time to verify the check-in, then it does not look at it again. For example, if a school has a football game and has tagged their stadium on the map, it will look to make sure they are in that tagged space when they self check-in. After the check-in is complete, it does not use their location anymore.
