Does the 5-Star Students app track a student's location?

The 5-Star Students app does NOT log or keep track of student locations at any time!

Schools may enable self check-in options, which allow students to use their location, scan a QR code, or use bluetooth to check into nearby events. Students must opt-in to the use of location and/or bluetooth before attempting check ins. No background activity is used to monitor location or check in without the individual's consent.

If enabled, the app will use current location to verify proximity to the event in order to authorize the check-in. For example, if a school has a football game and has tagged their stadium as the check-in location, the app will verify the individual is within that location radius. The app does not store actual location coordinates and only saves the check-in time to the system for school personnel to access.
